2011: CTDXCC member Leslie Schmidt KF5NJB, making her first QSO with her new amateur radio license. Her first contact was with Rune Wande SM5COP, an old friend who visited the CTDXCC club meeting in March, 2007. She has since been assigned the call sign K5JFP.

2011: Thor TF4M, Richard K5NA, and Susan K5DU enjoy a thermal hot pool near Bildudalur, Iceland in February, 2011. While in Iceland, Richard operated both the CQ World Wide 160 Meter Contest, CW and the FOC Marathon from Thor's station at 65°N.
