World Radiosport Team Championship 2006: the PT5U Story
George Fremin III K5TR will report on his participation in the 2006 World Radiosport Team Championship, part of the IARU HF World Championship Contest, just concluded in Brazil. George was team leader for PT5U, who along with Dave Pascoe KM3T competed against 45 other two-person teams carefully selected from the world's elite contesters to compete in this unique once-every-four years Olympic-style event.

The Texas QSO Party: You Can Do It!
Closer to home - for those mere mortal contesters among us - Gary Schmidt W5ZL and Scott Pederson KI5DR, half of the Driving Burrito Brothers (including Brother Richard K5NA and Sister Susan K5DU) will get you fired up about the upcoming Texas QSO Party with their accounts of roving Texas highways as "rare DX" in the K5NA "Burritomobile". TQP is truly for everybody and is a rocking good time - a rare chance to be "the hunted" rather than the "hunter" without the airplane trip and seasick pills. Whether you operate from home or get out and rove like the Burrito Brothers, their talk will get you in the mood.
