Local Tower Regulations

City of San Marcos

In the City of San Marcos, antenna regulations are part of the City Ordinances. §114.001 "Definitions", defines "telecommunications tower:"

Telecommunications towers mean any structure erected for the purpose of
supporting equipment that serves as a telecommunications relay point for
cellular telephones, personal communications services (PCS), digital
communications, and similar regulated by the 1996 Federal Telecommunications
Act.

There does not appear to be references in the ordinances to non-commercial towers or antenna support structures.

For more information, see the City of San Marcos Website.
