"Conditions were marginal for much of the weekend. At times, it seemed like flares had soaked up all of the signals, and it would become quiet from the bottom to the top of the band. Minutes later, it would return. Band noise was OK on the lower bands, and beverages helped on 40 meters and 80 meters. For reasons unknown we never made any contacts on 160 meters, even though Richard has an incredible 160 meter setup. Maybe next year." - KI5DR

"I outscored my score from last year by 3x. A big key this year was knowing how to call CQ. Another thing that helped was the propagation to South America. I started the contest late. Next year, I will plan to start on time and take longer breaks." - K5TWJ
